My product isn't placed in any stores at this time. We will be considering options in the future. Please feel to reach out on our contact page or place an order on our website to have a bottle of our delicious honey!
I occasionally will take honey with me to sell when I got to SCA events and occasionally to local Farmers Markets. The best way to see where I'll be at next is to check the Events tab!
What you are experiencing is crystallized honey. When your honey crystallizes, it means that it is true, real honey. Honey has two natural sugars, glucose and fructose. These sugars will bind together and form little crystals which can make your honey harder. Depending on the pollen and nectar sources the bees forage from will depend on how quickly the honey crystallizes. Pollen also aids in the binding process as it gives the crystals something to attach to.
The best way to get crystallized honey back to liquid form is to take a large bowl, fill it with warm water and set the jar/bottle/container of honey down in the bowl and let it sit until the crystals melt away. Be careful though as you don't want to introduce water to your honey as it will cause the honey to ferment! (Unless you want to make your own mead of course).
Crystallized honey is still honey! It’s safe to eat and doesn't mean that your honey has gone bad. Some people love crystallized honey simply because of its complex texture.
